Businessballs free motivational and educational posters for work, offices, business, education and fun: inspirational quotes, motivational sayings, safety posters, funny posters, and posters for humour, love and life.
More posters are now available on the Businessballs posters page 2.
Good inspirational and motivational posters reinforce learning and education, boost morale, and support personal development - for teams and groups, for yourself on a personal basis: A poster with a powerful message above your make-up or shaving mirror helps set you up for the whole day, and over a period of time can help actually change your life. Words are extremely powerful things.
Funny posters also help lift morale and create talking points in businesses, organizations and offices.
Posters with famous positive quotes and sayings are inspirational and motivational for staff and customers, and help to lift beliefs, values, expectations and reputations.
Use posters that are appropriate for your audience. Humour helps to bring humanity and fun to offices and work and educational situations, although a poster that is funny to you might not be funny to someone else, so use your judgement. A few of these posters are more risky than others - be careful where and how you use these particular posters. We accept no responsibility for any offence or liabilities arising from inappropriate use of any of any of these posters, especially the sardonic and rude funny ones. For example if your boss has absolutely no sense of humour then displaying the BOHICA poster at your work-station might not be a great idea, especially when he finds out what it means. Similarly, there are better places to put the S2D2 poster than the windscreen of the CEO's Bentley, how ever tempted you might be. On the other hand, if that's how folk feel, arguably the boss needs to know.
All posters are available as free pdf downloads by clicking on the poster thumbnails below.
These posters are free to print and use, but the posters must not be sold or published in any form or added to a website without permission.
The posters are A4 and obviously look best in colour. If you want to enlarge any posters no doubt a decent copy-shop will oblige for a small fee.
If you'd like additional posters to feature any particular quotes, motivational and inspirational materials, safety sayings, or anything else for education, personal development or humour send your ideas.
More free, funny, inspirational and motivational posters will be added to this resource in the future, on Businessballs posters page 2.

ERIC is an acronym for the notion that:
Emotional Reaction Impedes Control.
In other words, think before you speak, and similar concepts of keeping calm under pressure.
This ERIC poster was kindly contributed by G Chamberlain, the likely originator of the ERIC maxim.
The poster and the ERIC maxim are useful for illustrating that emotional responses tend to hinder rational thinking and behaviour.
Objectivity is better than subjectivity when fairness and balance are required.
See the full ERIC explanation in the acronyms page.

Note that the SMART and SMARTER acronyms have two different interpretations each, depending on the purpose, (generally the version with 'Agreed' is best to use for delegated tasks where buy-in and commitment from another person is important - see the section on delegation for more clarification).

The posters featuring acronyms without meanings (BOHICA, WIOFYFS, etc) are deliberately less obvious and designed to prompt questions as to their meaning, or depending on the circumstances to remain a mystery to the uninformed (for example all the blissfully ignorant autocrats out there). Mouseover the thumbnails to reveal meanings, and visit the acronyms page for more information about the meanings.
